Alton POTR area-wide event at the Maltings on Wednesday 4th December 2024 at 7.30pm.
It will include carols and readings and a talk by an internationally recognised speaker, Canon J.John, concluding with an invitation to follow Christ. St Lawrence Church choir will also be singing at this event.
Christmas Tree Festival Weekend of 8th and 8th December
Our popular Christmas Tree Festival will take place on the weekend of 7th/8th December. St Lawrence Church will be filled with over 60 beautifully decorated Christmas trees. There will also be organ music playing, festive refreshments and a tombola. If you would like to display a tree please contact the office
Christingles
On Sunday 1st December at Church of the Holy Rood, Holybourne we hold the first of our Christingles at 4pm. A lovely service with carols and a time to share the light of Jesus and spread a message of hope.
On Sunday 8th December we will also have our family Christingle service in St Lawrence Church at 4pm. Come and light up the church with oranges and candles – a lovely service for the whole family.

Carols on A green Space Near You
Alton Churches is bringing Pop-Up Carols on a Green Space near you back for the 4th year running. We will be meeting at various dates and green spaces around Alton, Holybourne and Beech between Monday 9th December through to 23rd December. Everyone is welcome to come and join in some traditional carol singing with live music on any night. Morne information coming soon.
