A social group for ladies from the churches in town. We meet on a monthly basis on the first Monday of each month. The evening gives us the chance to chat with people we don’t get to see very often and to meet new friends and to try out new activities too. In the summer we go on short walks before we share a meal. In the winter we enjoy a range of different speakers and craft opportunities.
Please do chat to Kathy Norkett at All Saints, Sarah Neish at Beech, Ruth Randall at Holybourne, Elspeth Mackeggie Gurney and Alison Parr at St. Lawrence about the group. If you would like to be added to the distribution list or need any further information just email Lyn Baines at meetandeat@btinternet.com
Next Meet and Eat is on Monday 6th February at 7pm in Holy Rood when Martin East is our speaker.
Martin will be speaking about his life as an RAF pilot, and of his conversion to faith and his subsequent ordained ministry. There will be a time for questions and time to chat to each other with a drinks and cakes.
Here are pictures of our November event enjoying Christmas craft. It was great fun!
At our meeting in August Sue Dell kindly walked us around the garden at Jane Austen’s house and gave a ten minute presentation.
In June we visited the Mill Cottage Farm and had a picnic at the vicarge garden. Thank you Gordon and Ruth for having us!
Do come along, whether or not you have been before; you would be most welcome. Small charge of £2 to cover costs. If you would like to come along please contact Lyn Baines on meetandeat@btinternet.com
