An opportunity to walk and talk and enjoy God’s creation
Following on from a series of excellent walks last summer and autumn it is a great pleasure to invite you to join with us as we tread some different paths this year, enjoying some muscular Christian fellowship. Starting in February, there will be a walk roughly every six weeks.
Each of the walks will have a theme relating to walking where others have walked before, focusing on the lives of different men in the Bible. Apart from the long walk in May, all the walks will vary between 90 minutes and 2 hours at a moderate pace, including time to pause and reflect.
The May walk is part of the Alton Walking Festival month, starts at St Lawrence Church and is 10 miles, including churches in Shalden, Lasham, Bentworth and Beech, ending at All Saints in Alton. We repair to The Swan afterwards.
We will usually begin and end at a hostelry, with the opportunity to share refreshments or a light meal at the end. There is no obligation to stay for the refreshments. If the weather is particularly inclement I will give you good warning and we will have to limit ourselves to meeting for a light meal at the pub.
While most of the walks are for men only, we warmly welcome partners, families and friends to our walks in May and August.
To book a place contact me on 07957 653403 or email@example.com, and I will confirm your booking. I very much hope you will be able to take up this invitation. We’ve had some terrific walks.
Best wishes, Robin Kemp
Come and join our merry bunch of walkers!
