Christmas Unlocked
“My chains are gone: I’ve been set free.”
Pray for Christmas Unlocked, an Alton POTR area-wide event at the Maltings on Wednesday 4th December 2024 at 7.30pm.
It will include carols and readings and a talk by an internationally recognised speaker, Canon J.John, concluding with an invitation to follow Christ. Pray for anointing for J.John. Pray for those Christians from our local churches doing the inviting and the openness of the guests they will invite.
Pray for opportunities in the coming months to give these invitations. Pray with us at the three half-hour prayer meetings at St Lawrence Church at 7pm leading up to the event: on Wednesday 2nd October, Wednesday 6th November and Wednesday 27th November. The first two of these will be followed by a short training session for those in the response team, who can attend on either date. Pray for the expanded church choir as they prepare to lead the carol-singing.
Finally, pray for discipleship programmes in the various churches that will follow up the event.
