Home groups
Would you be interested in joining a home group? This is a great way of getting to know people better, making new friends, growing in fellowship together and supporting each other in prayer and practical ways, as well as gaining a better understanding of the Bible in a relaxed and informal way. Perhaps you have been a member of a home group before (sometimes they have other names such as a Cell Group).
A home group offers a small group of people the opportunity to gather in someone’s home. A meeting would typically begin with drinks (tea, coffee etc.) and a chat, followed by the opportunity to explore and discuss a Bible passage using provided materials. Usually the meeting would end with a time of sharing and prayer.

Will Hall Home Group By Martyn Edwards. ‘We meet once a month on the 2nd Thursday. We agree between us what to study: at present we are doing a course called “Journalling the Psalms”. We do about 6 months per course and then will start a new subject. We might study books of the Bible or take on a theme – such as ‘Mercy’ which was our first subject matter. We are a Group of 10 which grew out of church work during lockdown (The Futures Group). When that ended, we all felt a sense of loss. Not for the ‘work’ involved, but we had all valued and were missing the mutual discussion, growth and connection together as Christians. So we decided to continue our journey together as a home group.’
