Christmas Afternoon tea 2023
On 29th December people met together for food and fellowship in the Parish Centre. There was a fabulous spread with sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones, jam and cream, an amazing selection of cakes and a wonderful Christmas cake, laced with brandy, made by Tim Codling. Guests were greeted with a glass of fizz and were then treated to a selection of songs by Robin Kemp, with everyone joining in with the singing. Tea followed with plenty of chat to accompany it.…
New Alpha course starting in January!
We are excited to say we have a new Alpha course starting on Monday 8th January. altonplusalpha@gmail.com to find out more and to book on. The evening will begin at 7pm with a free meal followed by a video and a chance to chat and ask questions.
Pop-Up Carols starts today 7th December 11am

St Lawrence Christmas Tree Festival is returning on 9th and 10th December
We are really excited for this popular event. St Lawrence Church will be filled with beautifully decorated trees, music from our wonderful church organ, a tombola and festive refreshments for sale. Christmas Card Message
Christmas Card Boards – as in previous years there will be boards in each of the churches for your Christmas cards to the rest of the parish. Please consider sending one card to your friends in the church as it saves on the number of cards which have to be recycled so is great for the environment. Macmillan Coffee Mornings Tuesday 26th September and Friday 29th September
Macmillan Coffee Mornings at Holy Rood and St Lawrence. Come and support one of these worthwhile coffee mornings in aid of Macmillan Cancer support. There will be delicious cakes, savoury items, tea and coffee and a friendly welcome. Family Walk Saturday 2nd September with Afternoon Tea
A healthy walk and afternoon tea.
