Christmas Fair – Alton Methodist Church
The fair takes place in the church on Saturday 25th November, 10am — 12noon Come and browse the stalls of home-baking, jewellery & accessories, fancy goods, toys, sweets and Christmas decorations. The Final Journey: an event for the living about the dying. This Greater Alton Project event, open to the whole town, has again been organised by Alton Anglicans and Methodists, and will be held at Alton Methodist Church on Saturday 14 October, 10:00am – 4:00pm. The event is an opportunity to come along, ask questions and find out about all things to do with death and bereavement. Jane Austen: Zero to Hero in 200 years
Who was Jane Austen? And who cares? At 7.30pm on Thursday 12th October, 7.30pm, Sue & Martyn Dell, who are closely involved at Jane Austen’s House Museum and worship within The Parish of the Resurrection will be giving a talk entitled Jane Austen: Zero to Hero in 200 Years at St Lawrence Church, Alton. All money raised will go to the Anna Chaplaincy which is supported by the Greater Alton Project. Further details to follow.

Dinner Dance for Epoulbass Foundation UK
Fabienne, was born in Cameroon, and has been worshipping with us at St Lawrence for several years , and many will know her and her son Churchill. She has set up the Epoulbass Foundation to continue the work started by her sister Tata in her home village of Kanda in east Cameroon. Tata set up a sewing workshop there in 2009 for the girls in the village to give them a means of earning a living. Called the Ndozeng Butterfly…
