Congratulations to Wendy

On Saturday 2nd July Revd Wendy Burnhams was ordained priest  at WInchester Cathedral and here is a picture to prove it. (Thank you to Ruth Randall fopr this wonderful picture) We are rightly delighted that God has called Wendy to her ministry among us and we do everything we can to support and encourage her.

Alton Deanery’s Overseas Link serving the Church of Uganda in Karamoja – May Update

We have been sent an update from our link in Karamoja. It is really encouraging to hear how the students have been coping and progressing. There have been many hardships but also rewarding times. BRF 100 years

This year marks the centenary of BRF. A thanksgiving service from Dorchester Abbey will be streamed live on  Sunday 24th April at 3.00 pm. Access from the BRF website www.brf.org uk. The service will feature Debbie talking about Anna Chaplaincy and will celebrate the  work of the BRF in helping people of all ages to grow in faith.

Eco Church Travel to Church Questionaire

You will have seen in the April edition of Sunrise an article describing how the Eco Church team is leading a piece of work to establish our ‘carbon footprint’.  An important part of this is estimating our own mileage in travelling to and from places of worship and for church related activities.
